Baressential is committed to creating an environmentally friendly business offering products that are skin friendly and planet friendly, made with ingredients that are 100% natural, naturally derived or nature identical and truly effective.

We are as careful as we can be about where, by who and how our materials are grown, harvested and transported.

Our ingredients and products are not tested on animals; are GMO free and biodegradable.

Our palm Oil is RSPO certified and therefore traceable to grower

We use only recycled or FSC standard card and tissue in our packaging and all is recyclable/compostable.

Finally in our workshop we use 100% renewable energy whilst striving to improve our waste management practices by requesting our suppliers to reduce their packaging, recycling and seeking new ways to minimise waste.

More Info on Palm Oil

We use Palm Oil not only for its high concentrations of skin healing antioxidants and nourishing vitamins such as A and E but primarily because palm oil gives the soap a longer life as it does not disintegrate when left in water.

Growing global demand for palm oil has caused – and continues to cause – deforestation. This means that land, which was once predominantly covered by primary forest (forest that has never been touched by man) or which housed protected species and biodiversity, was cleared in order to be converted into palm oil plantations.

RSPO certification is a global, multi-stakeholder initiative. All organisations in the supply chain that use RSPO certified sustainable oil products are audited to prevent overselling and mixing palm oil with conventional (or non-sustainable) oil palm products.

In 2008, the RSPO developed a set of environmental and social criteria which companies must comply with in order to produce Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO). When they are properly applied, these criteria can help to minimize negative impacts.

One of the most important RSPO criteria states no primary forests or areas which contain significant concentrations of biodiversity (e.g. endangered species) or fragile ecosystems, or areas which are fundamental to meeting basic or traditional cultural needs of local communities (high conservation value areas), can be cleared

Baressential ltd has always and will always use only certified RSPO sustainable palm oil to make our handmade soap.
